I am so excited about all the promises that the changing of the seasons brings. Brighter colors, warmer temps, longer days of sunshine, and perfect sunsets . . . not to mention all the new trends that we get to tweak to create our own personal style. And just in case you haven’t noticed from my IG posts, I am totally embracing the season’s off-the-shoulder (OTS) look. Sexy and absolutely feminine, the OTS adds a little mystery to any wardrobe.
I love fashion, and I love changing my style, my hair, my makeup, and everything I’ve done in the past has made me what I am now. Not everyone is going to like what I do, but I look back at everything, and it makes me smile.- VICTORIA BECKHAM.
I love the versatility of this pinstriped OTS mini dress. Gussy it up with wedges or dress it down with a pair of denim ballet flats for a day on the town, and you are good to go. This mustard colored handbag adds just the right amount of pop to an already fantastic look, and simple accessories prevent it from looking plain and boring.
Spring’s warm temps mean longer days of sunshine and more time spent outdoors. So if brunching on the beach is on your agenda, why not don an OTS mini? This pastel pink gem is perfect for keeping it casual chic. And yes, this is one girl who definitely enjoys a thick, juicy barbecue-bacon cheeseburger, with lots of fries! (Must be the ocean air).
Keep it casual
One of the great things I love about coastal communities is how laid back they are. Everything moves at a slower pace and the people are so friendly. Walk into any bar and people are just enjoying “being present.” No cellphones, no laptops. Just face-to-face conversation. How awesome is that?
I happened to stroll into Hello Betty Fish House and bar, located just off the boardwalk on Mission Avenue in Oceanside, and was immediately greeted with warm smiles and friendly conversation by my hostess. The beachcomber vibe at Hello Betty kept the scene casual and comfortable, making this soft pink, striped OTS blouse the perfect attire to an already perfect environment.
Yes, I am so looking forward to the next four months of warmer temps, longer sunny days, and fashions I’m just dying to covet.
